Its a bit unusual to be blogging from one's honeymoon but since I forgot to post a message before I left, I thought I might post one now. I'm about half way through my holibags and I'm having a great time. Took the night train to Basel, got on another 3 trains in total to get to St Etienne and watched Scotland beat Portugal.
We then got on our bikes and started the journey to Paris. We're not talking motorbikes here so it goes a bit slower than on the back of a kaiwasaki, honda or harley. The first day cycling was mostly down hill and we stayed a a lovey wee camping a ferme in Feurs. The 2nd day was probably the hardest and we managed 4 very steep hills. Going up wasn't so much fun but coming down was excellent. There are however some disadvantages to coming down hill at very high speeds when you're all hot and sweaty from cycling up hill. I manged not to think about what all those tour de france guys do on decents, did not wrap up warm and ended up with a throat infection or mal de gore as they call it in France. Sounds much more serious in french I think. runing out of time at the internet cafe will post more later

Hey girl,
You still alive after all that cycleing? Am going to the States for a week myself. No honeymoon though, or bikes. hopefuly just knitting and walks on the beach.
Well this sounds like fun, even if not good for throats.
